BRHC Restructures,
Captains Join the Select Division
BRHC welcomes old
and new programs for next season
03/19/08

BRHC Colonial (Select) Division Teams
The BRHC announced an expansion plan today, with the
Colonial Collegiate Hockey Conference merging into the league. This move
will create three divisions within the BRHC: The South and North, and a new
Colonial select Division, in which the Captains will participate. The
Colonial division will be composed of CNU, Old Dominion, East Carolina,
Richmond, George Washington, and Loyola. These are all highly competitive,
respected programs within the ACHA South and the Captains are pleased to be
in their company. For more information about the new and improved BRHC, click here for the official press release.
This new structure will allow the Captains and other Colonial
teams to schedule more non-conference games to get more exposure throughout
the South Division for rankings purposes. With the Captains just missing an
auto-bid to Nationals this season, this new scheduling freedom may prove
beneficial for ’08-’09. The Captains
look forward to another successful season next year, and plan to play some
of the best teams throughout the South and the nation.
Stay tuned to CNUHockey.com over the summer, as we will be
updating next season’s schedule as we schedule games. Have a great summer!
