Justice and Peace
St. Paul's Meal Ministry
One way that CCM responds to the call of Jesus is to serve the poor. Once a month, we prepare, serve, and share a meal and God's love with our downtown neighbors. This is done through the Justice Ministries of St. Paul's Episcopal Church located in the inner-city of Newport News.
PB & J sandwiches
The second Wednesday of each month CCMers join area young adults at Our Lady of Mount Carmel to help make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches which are then distributed to area hungry through Backdoor Ministry at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. It serves the inner-city poor and hungry of Newport News, Virginia.

Empower Hampton Roads (EHR)
This is an interfaith coalition which organizes and mobilizes citizens of our community to influence those who make and shape public policy to be responsible and accountable in creating justice for all the people of Hampton Roads. CNU CCM is the first campus ministry to join EHR in doing the work of justice. CCMers were present for the first meeting of the Peninsula Housing Equity Team and plan to remain participating members.

Alternative Spring Break (ASB)
ASB is a student led week long experience that affords students an opportunity to put Catholic Social Teaching into action. Through a process of discernment during the fall semester, students select sites where they serve the poor during spring break.
